Delivering excellence in dance training since 1960
Our founding Principal, Judith Hockaday, started The Judith Hockaday School of Dance & Drama in 1960, establishing a reputation for excellence both within the local area and the wider dance community. The school is now run by Heather Reynolds and Anna Pershin, both of whom have taught at the school for many years, as well as being former pupils of Judith Hockaday.
Maintaining the core principles and ethics that have made the school such a success, it continues to thrive as JHS Dance, based in the Old Town area of Swindon.
Former students of the school can be seen performing in the West End, UK and World tours, in Ballet and Contemporary companies, on cruise ships and in films. Students regularly gain places for further training at prestigious Musical Theatre and Dance colleges and many of our own college graduates are now teaching or running their own schools in the UK and abroad.
